Meet Christine Barillon, LCSW

With over 18 years of experience in clinical social work, I specialize in helping individuals and groups navigate trauma, childhood wounds, and life’s challenges. My approach is rooted in deep compassion, evidence-based techniques, and a commitment to fostering lasting healing and growth.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University in 2008 and my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Theater Arts in 2000. Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse settings, including HIV/AIDS family support, geriatric care, substance abuse treatment, prison re-entry programs, and mental health services. After 9/11, I supported victims and families through Safe Horizon, reinforcing my dedication to trauma-informed care.

Beyond private practice, I have a passion for global work. Living in Paris for six years, I applied my clinical expertise in corporate training and coaching for international banks and corporations. I have also contributed to humanitarian efforts, including a UN NGO mission in the Dominican Republic.

Committed to ongoing professional development, I have pursued advanced training in Ericksonian and Holistic Psychology, REBT Coaching, Grief, Loss, and Trauma Therapy, NLP Coaching, and Polarity Therapy. These specialized approaches allow me to tailor therapy to each individual’s needs, fostering resilience and transformation.

At the core of my work is a belief in collaboration—therapy is a journey we take together. Whether you’re seeking individual support or the powerful connection of group therapy, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where healing and self-discovery can flourish.

I look forward to working with you.
